Why Buying Matters
When you purchase a Lumen book, you are achieving two things.
Introduce a story into your home, classroom, or library that helps readers see the world through Cambodian children’s eyes and learn to understand their culture, promoting cultural relativism.
Supporting the voices of local children and communities by funding free copies for schools and children’s libraries, so Cambodians can also see their own lives and stories in books.
Earnings from sales are partially reinvested to print additional copies, which are donated to local schools and used to create children’s libraries, including the three libraries established with Angels for the Journey.
